Most of you are familiar with the marathon runner. They train slowly, take their time building their stamina, stretch before every run, don't want to pull anything, don't strain a muscle, that would put you back a little. Make sure you plan things out, gotta keep a schedule, if you lose track, you'll be off pace, don't want that to happen, then the goal won't be reached... Can you imagine if we were able to put this much time into the Marathon of daily life?...what a treat that would be...and a bonus would be if we could somehow lose pounds without expelling the energy. But who am I kidding, we can't treat life like a Marathon, it goes by too fast and it sure is unpredictable. Remember, your best thought out plans will always make God laugh! So on goes my Marathon called...MAY
It's here people. May is here. Do you hear me MAY!!!!! (ok on Thursday) BUT my point is that almost every day of this month there is something major going on, either at work or at home. Rescheduling gymnastics to work in the play reading at the theater, overnight to Mackinaw Island, garage sale, Mother's day, change soccer practice, ok actually just can't go because of the evening "informance" at school. What is that anyway? We are invited to come to school to watch Melissa's class rotate from gym to music to art for 15 minute sessions...WHY?????? I'm sure it'll be wonderful and I'll have tears in my eyes. Make it to soccer games on Sat, girl scout camping overnights, gymnastics recital, piano recital, choir recital, oh yeah Darrin's marathon. I'm on a marathon just trying to keep everything straight. I should just face it that I am going to mess something up and forget something. Please forgive me if it is an event that involves you and we are mistakenly no where to be found. It was just a scheduling error and I didn't mean it. Wish me luck!!
But this is the best part, after May... know what comes next? June 5th and guess what (sing along now) School's Out for Summer!!
